We live in a beautifully surreal community and intend to bring a bit of that beauty and grace to our wedding ceremony. If you have trouble explaining it to your friends, coworkers, etc afterwards, feel free to call us eccentric freaks. We're comfortable with that. ;)
We've told people that our theme is a mix of Dark Carnival and Elegant Circus. Think Cirque Du Soleil. Think of the movie "Gangs of New York". Think dark rich colors, reds and purples and blacks. If you absolutely must come as a clown, please make it classy and formal. Scary clowns may be denied entry at the gate, forcibly.

Also, pick your shoes carefully. Our land is rocky and uneaven in places. You won't be treading nimbly along cliffsides or anything, but heels probably aren't a great idea.
